While completing the Archon quest, you will come across a subquest in which you will be asked to "Find a way to connect to Nahida's consciousness" after it was trapped by the scholars. 

At the beginning of the quest, Paimon will highlight that light is flashing on your Akasha's Terminal, and the faster it blinks, the better the signal. You will then be asked to find a spot where you will have the best signal based on the flashing frequency. Now, while it sounds like an easy quest to complete, you might get stuck because you will not be able to access the map while on this quest.

First of all, start walking in the counter-clockwise direction and go near the tree on your right side, and you will find a glowing spot. Investigate, and you will get Mora but no signal.

Move forward a bit around the building and cross the next tree to find another glowing spot, and you will still not get anything. You might find a bunch of other spots like this, but the right one is behind the trees near the bookshelf in the library.

Once you investigate the spot, you will be able to connect to Nahida's consciousness.
