Players can access a massive garage of cars from the world’s best and most celebrated manufacturers to collect and race in Forza Motorsport. As there are multiple ways to acquire them, from purchasing them, earning them as race rewards, or from the Car Pass, there is another way, although temporary, to drive your dream car.

Forza Motorsport Cars: How To Rent A Car

Forza Motorsport launched with over 500 cars for players to acquire and race around tracks in multiple events and modes, like the Featured Multiplayer, Free Play, and Rivals. When participating in these events and modes, there are specific requirements, including vehicle class restrictions, that may prevent them from participating.

And with the added disappointment of not having enough Credits to buy a new car, there may be one last way of meeting these race requirements: rentals. Yes, players can rent a car to race in in Forza Motorsport if they don’t have the required car that meets the race requirements or do not have enough Credits to buy.

However, car renting is exclusively available for selected game modes, including the Spec Series in Featured Multiplayer, Free Play, and Rivals. Depending on the manufacturer or car class requirement for a specific race or series, players can rent out a car for free; however, they won’t be able to accumulate Car XP as it’s a rental.

Players will be able to rent cars as many times as possible for races or for practice laps if they’re looking to buy the car rented out. To achieve this, they can either select the eligible game mode they wish to participate in and select the race before choosing the “Select Car” option.

Within this menu, players have the option to either select the car that meets the requirements or opt for the “Buy Or Rent Cars.” They’ll have access to a variety of eligible cars, which they pick anyone they desire and select between buying or renting the car for free or at a discounted price.

As stated before, players won’t be able to earn Car XP for the rental car, and the same is said for installing car upgrades. They’ll need to have owned the car to start earning Car XP and install upgrades for the car, which can be used in subsequent races in Forza Motorsport.

Forza Motorsport is available for Xbox Series X|S, PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam and through Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Cloud Gaming as of 10th October 2023.
