Fortnite How to Plant Wiretaps to Monitor IO Communications

The content is ever-flowing in Chapter 3 Season 2 of Fortnite as Epic Games continue to keep the battle royale fresh and exciting. One of the popular additions to Season 2 of Chapter 3 has been the Resistance quests, giving players additional ways to unlock massive XP rewards.

A new Week 5 Resistance quest tasks players with planting Wiretaps to monitor IO conversations. If you're stuck on this challenge simply follow along with our guide below to find out how and where to complete this quest.

Wiretap locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

There are four (dual-staged) Week 5 resistance quests for players to complete and they vary in difficulty. One of the more interesting challenges players are encountering is Plant Wiretaps to Monitor IO communications.

Before getting started you'll need to establish a Device Uplink near Command Cavern, The Fortress, or Loot Lake. Then you will be required to plant at least three Wiretaps in order to complete the challenge.

Wiretaps can be found at the following locations in Chapter 3 Season 2:

• Southwest corner of Coney Crossroads
• Inside The Fortress location
• Northwest corner of Command Cavern

It's probably easiest to establish your Uplink Device at the mini island between The Fortress and Coney Crossroads, as it's somewhat in the center of the other locations you'll need to get to.

To get your Wiretap plants started, head to the Southwest corner of Coney Crossroads (Northeast of Tilted Towers). When you arrive at the IO base, plant your Wiretap device on the eastern side of the base, next to a wall that is on the opposite side of the gas pumps.

For the Wiretap located in The Fortress, be ready to fight as the area is guarded heavily by IO forces. You'll find the Wiretap spot just left of the major ramp inside the building.

The last location is in the Northwest corner of Command Cavern. When you arrive, you'll notice the spot to plant your Wiretap on the platform next to the antenna, it will be opposite the massive tank.
