Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has introduced some new features and challenges for players, including hidden temples that contain loot rooms. However, to access these loot rooms, players need to solve some puzzles and sacrifice some items. One of these puzzles is the Find the Flames Pass puzzle, which requires players to match the pattern of lit and unlit braziers in a room with a locked door.

In this article, we will explain how to solve the Find the Flames Pass puzzle in Fortnite and get some epic rewards.

What Is The Find The Flames Pass Puzzle In Fortnite?

The Find the Flames Pass puzzle involves lighting or extinguishing braziers (metal stands with fire) in a room with a locked door. The door has a message that says, “Find the flames” or “The flames…pass”. To open the door, players need to match the pattern of lit and unlit braziers in the room to the pattern of braziers elsewhere in the temple.

There are two temples that have this puzzle: the Hidden Temple and the Southern Temple. Both temples are located near the new Creeky Compound, the named location on the map. We've listed their map locations below.

Depending on your temple, the braziers you need to copy are either on the ground floor or the second floor. You can light or extinguish the braziers by interacting with them. Once you match the pattern, the door will open, and you can access the treasure room, which contains several chests with rare loot.

How To solve The Find The Flames Pass Puzzle In Hidden Temple

The Hidden Temple is located northwest of Creeky Compound. To solve the Find the Flames Pass puzzle in this temple, you need to follow these steps:

1. Enter the temple and go down the stairs. You will see a door with a purple glow on your left. This is a Worthy Item door, which means you need to give an item of Epic rarity or higher to open it. You can give any item as long as it has a purple or gold color.
2. After giving an item, enter the door and go down another set of stairs. You will see four braziers in this room, two on each side. You need to light or extinguish these braziers according to the pattern you will find later.
3. Go back upstairs and take the zipline up. You will reach the top of the temple, where you will see four small rooms in each corner. Each room has a brazier that either will or won’t be lit with a purple flame. Memorize which braziers are lit and which are not.
4. Go back downstairs and sacrifice another item of Legendary rarity or higher to open another Worthy Item door. This door leads to the room with the locked Find the Flames door.
5. In this room, light or extinguish the braziers to match the pattern you saw upstairs. If you make a mistake, you can just ignite or extinguish the brazier again.
6. Once you match the pattern, the door will open, and you can enter the treasure room, which has three Rare Chests and two or three regular Chests.

How to solve the Find the Flames Pass puzzle in Southern Temple?

The Southern Temple is located southeast of Rumble Ruins. To solve the Find the Flames Pass puzzle in this temple, you need to follow these steps:

1. Enter the temple and go up the stairs. You will see a zipline that takes you to the top of the temple.
2. Take the zipline up and drop down one floor. You will see four small rooms in each corner, each with a brazier that either will or won’t be lit with a purple flame. Memorize which braziers are lit and which are not.
3. Drop down another floor and find the fifth and final brazier in the middle of the temple. Remember if it is lit or not.
4. Go back downstairs and enter the basement of the temple. You will see a door with a purple glow on your right. This is a Worthy Item door, which means you need to give an item of Epic rarity or higher to open it. You can give any item as long as it has a purple or gold color.
5. After giving an item, enter the door and go to the end of the hallway. You will see four braziers in this room, two on each side. You need to light or extinguish these braziers according to the pattern you saw upstairs.
6. In this room, light or extinguish the braziers to match the pattern you saw upstairs. Don’t forget the fifth brazier in the middle of the temple. If you make a mistake, you can just ignite or extinguish the brazier again.
7. Once you match the pattern, the door will open, and you can enter the treasure room, which has three Rare Chests and two or three regular Chests.
