How To Get The Mehwapyarra (Capybara) Mount In FFXIV: Dawntrail

In the new lands of Tural in FFXIV: Dawntrail, there are more mounts to find, earn, and add to your collection that come in all shapes and sizes. A lot of these new mounts take after some of Tural's native species, such as the Alpaca or the Mehwapyarra. The latter is a capybara-like mount that players can ride, or fly around on across Tural. 

How To Unlock The Mehwapyarra Mount In Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail

The Mehwapyarra mount is an interesting one to collect, as it's not tied to any Dungeon drops. You can actually purchase the Mehwapyarra mount from a vendor in Solution Nine. You'll be looking for the vendor Uah'shepya at Sublime Curiosities (X: 8.6, Y: 13.5). 

But the mount can't be purchased with Gil. You'll instead need to exchange 12 Ttokrrone Scales, which is a drop from the FATE The Serpentlord Seethes.

Where To Find The Serpentlord Seethes FATE in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail

The Serpentlord Seethes is a Level 100 FATE that can spawn in Shaaloani at the following coordinates: X: 22.5, Y: 5.1.

However, just finding the FATE isn't the only hurdle. Before you can take it on, you'll need to have completed four prerequisite FATEs:

• The Serpentlord Stirs (X: 23.5, Y: 32.5)
• The Serpentlord Speaks (X: 29.0, Y: 17.8)
• The Serpentlord Sires (X: 20.9, Y: 8.5)
• The Serpentlord Suffers (X: 20.9, Y: 8.5)

You'll then need to have unlocked all the Aether Currents in the area in order to fly, as this FATE can't be accessed on foot. After completed all of the above, The Serpentlord Seethes will spawn, along with the boss Ttokrrone.

Completing this FATE will award 6 Ttokrrone Scales for Gold, 4 for Silver, and 2 for Bronze. Once you've acquired 12 Ttokrrone Scales, take them to Uah'sheya in Solution Nine and exchange them for the Mehwapyarra mount.
