Epic Games recently revealed that three classic Fallout games would be the next free offerings from the Epic Games Store, only to then pull the announcement without mjuch explanation. The games were set to be available from the 22 to 29 February, but the free game that week will now be Super Meat Boy.
The three classic games were Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
Those disappointed by the switch shouldn't fret too much. As reported by IGN, an Epic Games Store spokesperson confirmed that all three titles will still be given away for free in 2024, but that they just won't be part of the offerings next week.
All three of the titles are a far cry away from the Fallout 3 & 4 we know and love today, but the iconography is just as strong. If you're looking for a tough RPG, with turn-based combat, then keep your eyes peeled throughout the year.
We don't know exactly when the three titles will be given away for free via the Epic Games Store, only that we'll see them some time in 2024.
