While excitement continues to build for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero later this year, additional content is still dropping for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The latest free update adds a sub-quest featuring Mr. Satan with his signature receding afro dyed blonde, and the quest is called Legendary Super Satan. With one of the most expansive rosters in Dragon Ball gaming history on deck, there's a chance we could see one an exciting imagined form hit Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Could Dragon Ball Sparking Zero include Super Saiyan Satan?
After initially being released in early 2020, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has gotten tons of additional content and DLC since that time. The latest free sub-quest has already gone live, and all players need to do is update their game to the latest version to get access. The short glimpse of this quest revealed on Twitter looks as if Mr. Satan got the new look without any other change, but it feels reminiscent of two potential forms that get glimpsed in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super.
As seen above, we do get a fully animated look at a potential Super Saiyan Satan in Dragon Ball Super. This only happens as Mr. Satan is describing his supposed defeat of Beerus the Destroyer to a crowd of fans, much in the way that history was rewritten for the public to believe Hercule Satan had also defeated Cell. This isn't the first time we've gotten a hint of Mr. Satan with Saiyan powers, as he was also shown in a similar way during the Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Z.
When Goku receives the earrings for Potara Fusion from Old Kai, he has a moment of despair when only Mr. Satan is available to fuse. Goku imagines what this potential fusion might look like, as seen above, but Vegeta shows up moments later and instead we get Vegito as the two fuse temporarily to take on Super Buu. Were a potential Mr. Satan and Goku fusion to take place, that version would theoretically be able to become Super Saiyan Satan (Super Saiyan Satu?) while the fusion is active.
Considering he has no Saiyan blood, despite his grandchild Pan being one-quarter Saiyan thanks to Gohan, it's not possible in canon for an unfused Mr. Satan to actually make this transformation. However, between the currently non-canon Dragon Ball GT forms that could be on deck and the tendency for Dragon Ball games to toy with alternate scenarios, there's always a chance Super Saiyan Satan could land in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero at launch or in a future update.
