Destiny 2's fashion game has always been strong, thanks to the multitude of unique-looking cosmetic items that allow players to live their space-faring fantasies the way they want.
Becoming a space cowboy in Destiny 2 has also been on many people's bingo lists for a while, and Bungie has finally made that possible by adding this incredible-looking cowboy-style hat. However, like most things in this game, this gear piece isn't easy to acquire. As such, here's our guide, which explains how to get the cowboy hat in Destiny 2.
How To Get The Cowboy Hat In Destiny 2: Drop Rate
You can get the cowboy hat in Destiny 2 by playing the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon. The cowboy hat, known as TM Cogburn, is part of the Spire of the Watcher loot pool. Evidently, its drop rate is incredibly low. As pointed out by Reddit user sunder_and_flame, the exotic cowboy hat has a drop rate of 20%-25% compared to other items in the loot pool.
Thankfully, the cowboy hat has a chance to drop from all three encounters in the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon, so you don't have to farm anything specific. It's also worth pointing out that the cowboy hat, aka TM Cogburn, isn't a class-specific item, which means you can equip it on your Warlock, Hunter, and Titan characters.
Sadly, the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon isn't part of Destiny 2's free content. You will have to cough up $20 (2000 Silver) to get the Dungeon key that will get you access to the Spire of the Watcher and the Duality Dungeon. Alternatively, you can buy the Deluxe Edition of the Witch Queen, which will also get you both the Dungeons mentioned above alongside a few more stuff.
That concludes our guide on how to get the cowboy hat in Destiny 2.
