Format
First up, the European tournament will feature a double-elimination GSL style format for the group stage, with the opening and winners matches being best-of-one, and the elimination, as well as decider matches, being best-of-three.
This will be followed by a single-elimination bracket, with the semifinals being best-of-three, and the grand final being best-of-five.
Since the North American tournament is smaller, it will only feature a double-elimination bracket, with matches being best-of-three, and the grand final being best-of-five, with a one map advantage for the team coming from the upper bracket.
