How To Unlock Photo Mode In Creatures Of Ava?

Firstly, yes, Creatures of Ava indeed has a photo mode that is accessible during the opening moments of the action-adventure game. This mode will be incredibly valuable to Victoria, the game's protagonist, as she progresses with her primary goal of saving all creatures of Ava through her research.

This mode is primarily used to record all creatures, fauna, and flora, as well as various NPCs Victoria will meet and discover throughout her journey in Ava. Unlocking this mode is relatively straightforward: Players must play through the first quest, "Welcome to Ava," to reach a checkpoint while completing the "Head to higher ground" objective. 

She'll encounter a pack of Kraj, marsupial-like creatures, near some ruins, which unlocks the Photo Mode and gives Victoria access to a camera. Using the controls provided in the tips pop-up screen, she can process to capture these creatures before continuing to find higher ground, using her radio, and establishing communications with her colleague, Tabitha.

How To Take And Save Photos In Creatures Of Ava?

As mentioned before, once players progress with the "Welcome to Ava" quest and reach the aforementioned checkpoint, they'll have access to the game's Photo Mode to capture photos and record data. To access Photo Mode, players can follow the steps provided below:

1. First, equip the camera using the right Directional button on the Xbox controller or the 4 number key on the keyboard (which can also be used to enter Photo Mode)
2. Use the Directional button or the Mouse Scroll wheel to zoom in or out
3. Press the RB button or the left mouse button to take a photo
4. To save the photo to the console or PC, press the A button, or on PC, the option to "Save In Gallery" will be provided

To locate the saved photos on the Xbox consoles, players can hit the Xbox button to open the Guide menu, select the "Capture & share" option, and then "Recent captures." For PC, players can copy and paste this File Directory path in the search box from the Home tab C:\Users\(your PC user name)\AppData\Local\CreaturesOfAva\Saved\Photos which there should be two folders: Avapedia and Gallery and clicking the Gallery folder will have their saved photos.
