Skyesports Championship 2024 Day 2 Scores, Results & Match Reports

Skyesports Championship 2024 Day 2 of the Group Stage was busier than other days as all the Day 1 matches except one was postoned due to unsolved tech and electricity issues. After the conclusion of nine BO1 series throughout the day, The MongolZ and Eternal Fire were on top of the leaderboards in their respective groups.

Group A 

• Top Three Qualify For Playoffs

Aurora vs PARIVISION

• Winner: Aurora
• Final Score: 13-8

Aurora and PARIVISION faced each other off on Anubis and PARIVISION had a great start as they won the first three rounds back to back. However, their momentum was destroyed completely by Aurora as they let the opponents win just one round in the first half.

The story for the second half was the same. PARIVISION won the pistol and the next two rounds as well. However, were not able to make a comeback as Aurora snatched the rest of the rounds except one to close out the match with a score of 13-8.

BLEED vs ENCE

• Winner: ENCE
• Final Score: 13-5

This was the most one sided match of the day. ENCE pushed BLEED to the back foot by achieving 8-0 lead on Mirage. BLEED won three rounds before the game reached the second half and won pistol on CT side, but it wasn't enough to stop ENCE, as they put 13-5 on the board with ease.

The MongolZ vs PARIVISION

• Winner: PARIVISION
• Final Score: 13-11

After losing their first match, PARIVISION was up against The MongolZ on Mirage. The first half went pretty well for them as they had a great lead at the end of the first half, with a score of 8-4. They were looking comfortable in the second half as well until The MongolZ balanced the score to 11-11 after winning 4 rounds back to back. PARIVISION managed to not throw this match and won it by a close margin of just two rounds with the 13-11 score.

True Rippers vs BLEED

• Winner: BLEED
• Final Score: 13-11

After a heartbreaking loss against The MongolZ, True Rippers were up against BLEED in hope to register their first win of the tournament. However, BLEED were looking too strong, as they won seven out of first eight rounds, but True Rippers made an insane comeback from there by winning nine rounds back to back to snatch the lead from BLEED and put 10-8 on the boad. However, just like in their first match, they were not able to close it out as BLEED won the remaining rounds to hit 13-11 for a victory.

The MongolZ vs ENCE

• Winner: ENCE
• Final Score: 13-5

The MongolZ and ENCE were put on Mirage once again and this time against each other. While ENCE registered an easy win on this map in their first match, The MongolZ lost by a pretty close margin. This time the result was opposite as The MongolZ massively dominated ENCE by winning the match by 13-5, without giving the opponents even a single chance to make a comeback.

Group B

• Top Three Qualify For Playoffs

Eternal Fire vs Revenant

• Winner: Eternal Fire
• Final Score: 13-6

Nuke was the map left after map bans and Revenant straightway secured the first three rounds, but despite that, Eternal Fire was able to recover and finish the first half at 6-6. The second half was a disaster for Revenant as Eternal Fire clean sweeped Revenant to win the series by 13-6.

3DMAX vs AMKAL

• Winner: 3DMAX
• Final Score: 16-14

3DMAX vs AMKAL was a roller coaster of emotions. Played on Nuke, the map started off with AMKAL winning the first two rounds, but 3DMAX captured a lead by winning the next three consecutive rounds. AMKAL striked back instantly by winning the five of the remaining rounds in the round, taking the score to 5-7. 

Then won another pistol and it felt like they have gained unbreakable momentum. However, 3DMAX didn't let that happen and snatched away three rounds back to back, but not before losing the next four to let AMKAL reach match point. While AMKAL should have closed it out, 3DMAX was not ready to give up and kept fighting till the end and pushed the match to overtime. After a nailbiting match, 3DMAX took away the win by 16-14.

Eternal Fire vs DMS

• Winner: Eternal Fire
• Final Score: 13-6

Eternal Fire had another comfortable win in the event and this time against DMS. The match was played on Inferno and Eternal Fire completely dominated the opponents from the start and finished the first half at 9-3. The story of the second half is the same as DMS was able to win only 3 rounds again and Eternal Fire secured their second win by 13-6.

Revenant vs AMKAL

• Winner: AMKAL
• Final Score: 13-4

Revenant's second match of the event put them on Nuke again and the result was the same. AMKAL crushed them completely by winning 10 rounds in the first half and with this massive lead, they won the series comfortably by 13-4. This was a great result for them after they lost to 3DMAX in overtime.
