As the rostermania continues during the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player break, Team Liquid's roster changes are some of the most interesting thus far. First, Liquid moved the legendary Danish in-game leader and AWPer, Casper "cadiaN" Møller, to the bench. Now, the storied organization has announced the immediate departure of their CS2 team's head coach, Wilton "zews" Prado.
The organization didn't win any trophies with Wilton "zews" Prado, and the Brazillian coach was only at Team Liquid for six months. On Twitter (X), Team Liquid announced zews' immediate departure from the squad, leaving the head coach position open:
We would like to thank zews for his time with us and his passion for the project. We will be parting ways but we want to thank him for his efforts and his drive to push each player to be their best.
At the time of writing, Team Liquid has not announced a replacement for zews, and there aren't too many high-level head coaches just waiting around for a job opening. It will be very interesting to see who joins Liquid as the new head coach, or if someone will be promoted from within the organization.
Is there a chance that the legendary American IGL, Nick "nitr0" Cannella, could step into some kind of role in Team Liquid and relive the glory days? While absolutely nothing has been confirmed, I think there might be a chance we see nitr0 in Liquid when rostermania ends. After all, nitr0 is returning the Counter-Strike!
