The long road to Civilization 7 continues with their latest reveal of yet another Antiquity Age civ. The Khmer were just one of many featured in Civ 6, and they're now returning in a new form with fresh abilities and the ability to be played by any leader of your choice. On top of that, Firaxis has confirmed the next Civ 7 livestream featuring the Shawnee is just days away.

If you've been eager to see more of Civ 7 in action, there isn't much of a wait as the next official stream has been set for Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CEST. This time, it looks like their central focus will be new leader Tecumseh and the Shawnee civilization.

All players who pre order Civilization 7 will automatically receive the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack DLC at launch when the game is released on February 11, 2025. However, even players who wait to dive in will have the chance at a later date to purchase the DLC separately. If you purchase the Deluxe or Founders Edition of Civ 7, this DLC and several other yet-to-be-revealed DLC packs will be included.

We already know that the Shawnee are an Exploration Age civ with economic and diplomatic tendencies, and navigable rivers will be a big part of how they're played in Civ 7. As for Tecumseh, all we really know at this point is that he will be a diplomatic leader with an ability bolstering food, production, and combat strength for each allied city-state.

Past Civ 7 streams have been upwards of an hour or two long, so there could be a lot more gameplay of the Exploration Age in action on the way. On top of that, the stream will feature special guests from the Shawnee. You can watch the livestream on the Civilization YouTube Channel or Firaxis Games Twitch Channel.

As for the newly revealed Khmer Empire, this expansionist and scientific civ will have a unique ability to keep existing yields when building Urban Districts on rivers. The Angkor Wat wonder will also return, but we don't yet know if Civ 6's Khmer leader Jayavarman VII will also be back in Civilization 7. With another First Look due any day now, we could see a reveal of something connected to the Khmer or learn more about how Tecumseh will operate when Civ 7 arrives. You can find the full list here of all confirmed Civilization 7 leaders and civs.
