In recent weeks, there have been leaks that suggest that the next Call of Duty game will be named Modern Warfare 3. If everything is lining up as it should be, Modern Warfare 3 will be a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2 (2022). Of course, there will be the online multiplayer that most people will be focused on, but there's also going to be so much more than that on the way.
One of the best aspects of Modern Warfare 2 was the campaign, with pretty rich story and a lot of characters that players liked. One of them was Simon Riley, also known as Ghost. Here, we are going to go over if Ghost will appear in Modern Warfare 3.
What Happened To Ghost At The End Of Modern Warfare 2
Let's get into spoiler territory before we answer whether or not Ghost will be in the next game or not. At the end of Modern Warfare 2, the main character and their squad are trying to intercept a rocket launched at the Pentagon. The squad gathered together to stop the terrorist Hassan from blowing up any government buildings.
At the end of the day, the squad was successful and stopped the terrorist from blowing up the Pentagon. On top of that, it was Ghost who took the final shot and took down the terrorist. In the end, Ghost is alive at the end of Modern Warfare 2. So it is very likely that Ghost will make an appearance in Modern Warfare 3.
Will Ghost Be In The Modern Warfare 3 Campaign?
If all of the leaks we have seen so far are in fact true, we will likely see Ghost in Modern Warfare 3. Recently, a leak emerged of what looks like Monster Energy cans promoting Modern Warfare 3, the next game in the Call of Duty Series. If you look carefully at one of the images, you will be able to see Ghost on the back of one of the pictured cans.
Although it is not entirely clear if that is the same Ghost we have seen in Modern Warfare 2, it looks like Ghost will be making an appearance in Modern Warfare 3. It could just be an Operator skin but there is a chance that he will appear in the main campaign. We will have to wait to see for more details.
