Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched on November 10, and regardless of what you think of the Campaign players are certainly enjoying Multiplayer. But to get the absolute most out of your matches, it helps to have your settings optimized, especially field of view (FOV).
Best FOV Settings For MW3
For the most part, FOV is down to personal preference but there is a window that allows you to get a great balance between a wide frame and seeing those details in the distance. The best place for your FOV to be is between 90 and 105. This allows you to see a little more in your peripherals compared to the default setting, and you won't sacrifice too many details in the distance. This setting is ideal across all platforms, though you may want to make some more adjustments depending on your monitor.
It's best not to make your FOV too wide. While this might be okay for larger scale maps and Ground War, it can become a problem on one of MW3's many smaller maps where you need a more narrow focus.
How To Change FOV In MW3
If you're still getting to grips with Modern Warfare 3's settings and interface, you might need to know how to chance the FOV. To do so, simply follow these steps:
- Head to the menu by pressing your "Options" button
- Look for the "Graphics" option and select it
- Scroll down until you find "View"
- Select "Field of View" and adjust the slider to your desired range
This method works across all platforms, whether you're playing on PlayStation, Xbox or PC.
