After months of rumors surrounding the highly-anticipated shooter, the beta dates for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 have finally been revealed - and it's quite soon. Early Access will take place from 30 August til 4 September, while the Open Beta will last from 6 September until 9 September. The information comes from CharlieIntel on Twitter/X, as well as the official Call of Duty podcast.
While the Early Access period will only be open to those who have pre-ordered the game or have certain Game Pass plans, the second beta weekend will be free to everyone who wants to join. And that does mean everyone can participate in the beta, regardless of platform. Fans on all platforms will be able to access the beta - a first for the franchise. Usually, Call of Duty beta programs are only available to those on PlayStation. Perhaps this could open the door to other Call of Duty games offering open betas on all platforms in the future.
Black Ops 6 is set to release on all platforms on 25 October 2024, and it'll be free to play for all Game Pass subscribers on that same date. Thankfully, it seems like many fans won't have to wait quite that long to try out the new Call of Duty game thanks to the upcoming beta weekends available to everyone.
