Is Loba the next Apex Legends hero? Wolf sighting sparks theories

• Apex Legends players are hearing and seeing wolves in-game, but are they crazy?
• It could point to a new hero called Loba, who was previously datamined last year
• The wolf also ties with the Season 4 trailer recently released

Revenant may have only just been released in Apex Legends, but developer Respawn may already be seeding their next new character.  

Reddit user Sheepless Wolf shared a clip showing a mysterious wolf-like creature running through the new Harvester area on the map.  

Could this simply be Wraith running rampant? A zoomed-in look appears to dispel that idea, clearly showing some animal sprinting across.  

The wolf paranoia has also spread to other players too, with many claiming they can hear howls while wandering the map. 

So are people losing their minds? Or is there a very rational explanation?  

Rewind back to the launch trailer for Apex Legends Season 4, you might remember a suited man who was killed by Revenant in brutal fashion.  

Before his death however, the man hands a wolf statue to his young daughter. The trailer then makes a point to show her reaction as her father is killed.  

Six months ago, a dataminer discovered the name Loba as a potential new hero for Apex Legends, which translates to female wolf in Spanish.

So could the man's young daughter go onto become Loba to avenge her father's death? With the potential planting of wolves in-game, it certainly seems like Respawn is building towards the next character announcement. 

The same dataminer was correct about Revenant’s appearance in Apex too, so it certainly seems plausible a wolf-themed hero is in the pipeline. Unless they kill her off like Forge, of course.
