SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERT – ESPORTS

The Company

Ginx TV is a London-based international media company, dedicated to the creation of video gaming TV channels around the world. The rapidly growing Ginx eSports TV channel is currently available in over 36 million households in 40 international markets in 9 languages.

The role

We are looking for a multi-tasking Social Media Expert to manage our social media presence, enlarge our digital footprint and ensure we deliver unique and compelling social media content.

You

You will be passionate about games, ideally cross-game, have a strong interest in eSports and be up to speed on all new and developing social media. You will have a solid strategic grasp on how to scale up in digital and social, will not be afraid to try new ways to connect with our audience. You will have worked in eSports in a professional capacity for a minimum of 2 years and be an excellent communicator. You’ll instinctively know how to tailor the content by platform and you’ll be totally at ease with creating short form media-specific videos/stills/memes etc. Your experience will have taught you to gather and track all relevant metrics and build on them.

Responsibilities
• Devise, manage & implement Ginx’s social media strategy.
• Execute social media campaigns across our existing Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram & Twitch presence; keeping an eye out for emerging platforms.
• Drive the conversation with eSports communities and associated digital media. You will post content throughout the day, but especially before, during and immediately after our live TV shows with a view to enhance engagement.
• Working alongside our Editorial team, create a flow of regular, unique, relevant and timely social content.
• Provide ongoing analysis, key insights and recommendations to optimise social media performance.
• Be an advocate of social media and digital innovation internally.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Passion for and solid knowledge of social media.
• Understanding of and passion for eSports, video- and mobile gaming.
• Knowledge of social media tools: scheduling/posting, reporting/analysis.
• Great communication skills: writing, content development, presentation. Full professional proficiency in English is a pre-requisite.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro (or similar).
• Ability to deal with high pressure environment of a fast growing international company.
• Proactive, highly motivated team player, great work ethos; highly organised and meticulous planner.
• Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in an eSports environment at a TO, Team or Publisher.
• International (outside UK) experience desirable.

ESPORTS EDITOR

The Company

The role

We are looking for an energetic and inventive eSports Editor to create and manage the editorial output of www.ginx.tv and link the site to our live TV broadcasts and associated social media efforts.

You

You will be passionate about games, ideally cross-game, have a strong interest in eSports, be an engaging writer and have a firm grasp of online CMS platforms, especially WordPress.   You have an inquisitive mind and it is second nature to you to monitor and report on topics that are trending online and in social.   You will not be afraid to try new ways to connect with and engage our audience and you know your way around SEO tactics to grow our unique user base.  You will have worked in eSports in a professional capacity for a minimum of 2 years and be an excellent communicator.  Your experience will have taught you to gather and track all relevant metrics and build on them.

Responsibilities
• Working alongside our TV editorial team, create long- and short-form eSports written content on a daily basis.  Manage and direct freelance writer contributions.
• Upload relevant videos to the site, sourced from our broadcast content.   Apply edits where required.
• Own the overall website structure and alter to suit using WordPress.
• Monitor key analytics and build on them.
• Provide ongoing analysis, key insights and recommendations to optimise website performance.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Passion for and solid knowledge of eSports.
• Consummate journalist with understanding of and passion for eSports, video- and mobile gaming.
• Solid and demonstrable experience of working with WordPress. You’ll be very comfortable with working ‘under the hood’ to optimise the functionality of the site.
• Great communication skills: writing, content development, presentation. Full professional proficiency in English is a pre-requisite.

ESPORTS RESEARCHER –  London UK Esports live show

 

Do you have an abundance of knowledge of eSports? Do you possess strong creative and editorial judgement and thrive on the buzz of working within a live broadcasting environment? As an eSports Researchers you will help organise, plan and co-ordinate the production of television programmes and undertake relevant background research. The eSports researcher’s role is vital and goes well beyond simply researching a topic.

The hire has to contribute ideas and treatments, suggest contributors for discussions, find angles to stories and build an extensive bank of knowledge and contacts on the eSport scene. You will be working to tight deadlines, undertaking independent research on eSports topics and utilising both internal and external sources.

You will hold a relevant point of contact to eSports scene and provide current information to the production and editorial teams. You must also have a flexible approach to work as you will be working to a shift pattern which will include weekends and bank holidays on occasion.
