The wait is over, and we've finally learned about the WWE 2K24 new features that players will be able to experience this year. Core game modes like MyGM and MyRISE continue to grow, but that's far from all that fans can look forward to.

WWE 2K24 gameplay continues to evolve with multiple upgrades to the core mechanics that'll be felt in every single game mode. Additional details will continue to be revealed on the road to launch, but here are all the WWE 2K24 new features we know about so far.

WWE 2K24 Undertaker vs Bret Special Guest Referee

If there's one thing they've confirmed, it's that WWE 2K24 won't be light on new features. Starting with the core gameplay, WWE 2K24 has added Super Finishers, a Trading Blows mini-game, the ability to dive to the outside onto a group of opponents, and the ability to throw weapons.

That last one has plenty of fans excited, and those weapons will also included trash cans, guitars, microphones, and even sodas from a vending machine in one of WWE 2K24's upgraded match types. WWE 2K24 will add the Special Guest Referee Match, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match. Backstage Brawl returns, but the match now features 4-player support and interactive elements like a working elevator, breakable glass, and the aforementioned soda machine.

For players looking forward to jumping online with friends, the Royal Rumble now supports up to eight online players in 30-Superstar matches. New Paybacks have been added, and double title matches will finally be playable.

2K Showcase returns with a WrestleMania focus spotlighting some of the most iconic moments in the 40-year history of this event, accentuated by their star-studded WWE 2K24 cover stars. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 and Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 will be among the matches featured, and the mode will once again include unlockable content tied to specific challenges for each match.

MyGM returns with additional match types, championships, GMs, and brands to pick from. They've also added talent scouts, trading between brands, superstar contract management, and a Superstar Journey feature allowing you to earn XP, train, and level up superstars over time.

MyRISE adds the Undisputed storyline for men and Unleashed storyline for women, and the mode features first time voiceover performances from Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Mick Foley. Also, MyRISE will once again feature key unlockables that will become available in other parts of WWE 2K24.

MyFACTION returns with a card-collecting ultimate team themed mode reminiscent of MyTEAM in NBA 2K24, and it will now feature online QuickPlay that has unique rewards and seasonal leaderboards. Faction Wars and Weekly Towers are back, and seasonal content including new themed card packs will arrive throughout the year.

Universe Mode continues to grow with expanded rivalry actions, run-ins, Money in the Bank cash-ins, a Loser Leaves Town stipulation, and multiple new scenarios. The Creation Suite adds new Create-A-Referee and Creat-A-Sign support on top of expanded parts and animations for the rest of the suite.

As of now, these are all the major WWE 2K24 new features that have been announced. Additional details should become available via deep dives in the weeks leading up to the WWE 2K24 release date.
