With Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, a lot of players will be looking to stay on top of the meta. Warzone 2 had a huge launch in 2022 but there was some dust that still needed to be settled.
With each patch of Warzone 2, there are various balance changes that will change the performance of each gun. For example, the ISO Hemlock got hit with a few nerfs but is still a high-performing gun in the game. Some new guns like the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle were added too. Here, we will go over the best loadout for the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle in Warzone 2.
Update 9 August: The following loadout utilizes successful builds from previous seasons. We'll update this page throughout Warzone 2 Season 4 to reflect the state of the game.
Best Loadout For The Cronen Squall In Warzone 2 Season 5
The Cronen Squall is a new weapon that was recently introduced to Warzone 2. The Cronen Squall is a Battle Rifle, meaning that it's good at medium to long range. Typically, Battle Rifles are very powerful but have pretty bad recoil. Controlling the recoil is essential to using the Cronen Squall. With that in mind, here is the recommended loadout for the Cronen Squall:
- Barrel - HR6.8 Barrel
- Underbarrel - FTAC Ripper 56
- Muzzle - Sakin Tread-40
- Optic - Aim OP-V4
- Magazine - 50-Round Drum
The HR6.8 Barrel will give players who use this gun even better bullet velocity and damage. Now to balance that range out, the Sakin Tread-40 and the FTAC Rripper 56 will increase your recoil control with automatic fire. The 50-Round Drum keeps you in the game for longer and the Aim OP-V4 works because it doesn't cover too much of the screen when aiming, but you can use most optics and be good to go.
Best Perks For The Cronen Squall In Warzone 2 Season 5
Now that you have the best loadout for the Cronen Squall, it's time you get the best perks for this loadout. Overkill is 100% necessary for the Cronen Squall. The Cronen Squall is not great at close range and you will need an SMG to make sure you can take out enemies who are nearby. With that in mind, Fast Hands is great to help swap weapons on the fly.
You will also want Double Time as a base perk as well. The Cronen Squall is pretty big so it's important to make sure you are moving quickly. For your ultimate perk, Ghost is recommended just due to the fact that you want to be as undetectable as possible. As for your equipment, Claymores are good for those sneaking up on you and Flash Grenades will give you that extra time that you might need.
