Supermassive Games' upcoming horror title, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, will launch on 18th November 2022 across PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, with only a day left to go, it seems The Devil in Me's entire gameplay has already been leaked ahead of launch.
On 17th November 2022, a YouTuber named Slimpy posted multiple gameplay walkthrough videos showcasing hours of The Devil in Me content before its launch. Initially found out via Reddit, some thought the creator accidentally leaked The Devil in Me, but the YouTuber claims that their "retail copy came early," allowing them to play the game much earlier than anticipated.
The YouTube walkthrough videos are quite extensive. The first video comprises The Devil in Me's entire playthrough (totaling roughly six hours of in-game footage), while the second details the perfect route to achieve a "true" ending with all characters surviving. A third showcases all possible death cutscenes players can achieve or fatally arrive at.
That said, it's only natural that Supermassive Games might be frustrated and disappointed, knowing that The Devil in Me's entire gameplay content has already been showcased before officially launching. Knowing that it'd happened one day before the title's official release is gut-wrenching; even though it might've simply been an accident with shipping retail copies or something else, it's clear that the company isn't too happy.
The video game development company Tweeted, "As launch day approaches, remember that all of your choices have repercussions. Please allow others to make their decisions without bias and avoid spoiling the story and secrets of The Devil In Me."
