April 2022 brings with it the release of some popular new anime to Netflix. Though the platform already has some of the genre's top-rated anime that are worth checking out if you haven't already.

Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer or Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most popular anime airing on Netflix to date. The manga is still one of the best sellers years after it concluded, and the movie shattered the recent record of Spirited Away for the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.

The anime stars a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado. After his family's brutal murder at the hands of demons leaving only his sister alive though transformed into a demon herself. Tanjiro sets out to become a Hashira, a demon slayer, to save his sister and other innocent lives.
Bubble
Netflix's new original looks fantastic and fans are excited for its release later this month on the 28th of April. The show is directed by Tetsuro Araki (who also worked to produce Attack on Titan) and features stellar music performed by Hiroyuki Sawano.
The show is a fantastical parkour adventure set in Tokyo where the laws of gravity have been broken due to bubbles that have rained down in the area. Our protagonist Hibiki meets Uta, a girl with mysterious powers after she saves him from near death. After this, the two develop a bond after discovering they can both hear a sound only audible to them.
Pacific Rim: The Black (Season 2)
The second season of Pacific Rim: The Black is scheduled to release on the 19th of April this month and fans are excited as the first season was well received.
Set in a world similar to the movie adaptations, Kaiju have attacked and laid waste to Australia. Taylor and his sister Hayley use a mecha Jaeger to trek through the wastelands on a quest to find their parents.
Ultraman (Season 2)
Since the initial release of Ultraman in 2019, fans have been anticipating a second season for the action-packed superhero show. Finally, we have received confirmation and the new season of Ultraman is set to drop on the 14th of this month.
After many years have passed since the events of the original Ultraman, Shinjiro Hayata discovers that his father was Ultraman. He decides to take up the mantle and become the new Ultraman of earth and defend the innocent from the evil that threatens humanity.
Arcane
If you play League of Legends in any of its forms, this anime will resonate with you, but even if you don't, Arcane is an anime worth checking out. The show has received high ratings on Netflix and other platforms so we recommend this one.
Starring the characters Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce, and Viktor. The show expands on existing characters' backstories and explores their future endeavors as they struggle during the escalating tension between the utopian city of Piltover and the seedy, oppressed undercity of Zaun.
Komi Can't Communicate
Komi Can't communicate has been received well by fans recently and is one of the highest-rated Anime on Netflix currently, this is due to the show's gorgeous art style, well-developed characters, and heartfelt story.
The show is exactly as it says in the title, Starring a beautiful high schooler Komi who suffers from deep-seated social anxiety that makes it difficult for her to communicate and make friends. But a classmate who recognises this offers to become her friend and help her reach a goal of making 100 friends.
Attack on Titan
Aside from being extremely popular on Netflix, Attack On Titan has become a household name for anime watchers worldwide. The show has incredible visuals, action scenes, an epic score for each moment, and a story that will make you cry, laugh, and scream.
The show takes place in a world overrun with massive humanoid beasts known as Titans. After they destroy his home and kill his mother, the main protagonist Eren Yeager vows to kill all of the Titans and joins the Scout Regiment to begin his journey to do so.
High Rise Invasion
High Rise invasion has received high ratings over the past year and is a psychological horror and survival series. The show has been well received and rated highly on Netflix due to its unique premise and interesting character development.
The show is centred around Yuri Honjo, our main character, who finds herself in a world of interconnected sky-scrapers connected via suspended bridges with no way down, after her communications with her brother get cut off by the individuals hunting her and others in this world, she becomes dead set on finding her brother and escaping.
One-Punch Man
One-Punch Man is one of the most popular Anime that has been released in the past decade, with only two seasons out so far, the show has received mass praise from worldwide audiences alike.
The main character Saitama is the most powerful hero on the planet, but to his dismay, he's become so powerful he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. The story revolves around him trying to find a purpose in life after becoming so powerful and his companions trying to find their strength in the face of the dangers the world faces.
Baki + Baki Hanma
Last but not least is Baki. An extremely popular action-fueled, high adrenaline anime that aired on Netflix in 2018. The show stars five near superhuman fighters on a quest to find and defeat the strongest person on earth, Yujiro Hanma.
The show follows these fighters and our main character Baki Hanma, the son of Yujiro. Baki ventures out to challenge these other fighters on his journey to overcome and defeat his father. The second season of Baki: Baki Hanma began airing on Nextfil in September 2021 and is receiving high praise so far.
