Spring is here, and for anime fans, that means a new batch of seasons from returning fan favourites and exciting fresh manga adaptations. If you're a new fan, it might be daunting to keep track of all the new content that will be dropping in the coming weeks, especially while you try to develop your anime tastes.
Are you into slice-of-life? More of the Shōnen type? What about Seinen or rom-coms? Truth be told, there are so many genres that one might feel overwhelmed. Still, some anime are highly anticipated by their huge fanbases, a testament to their quality regardless of genre.
With that said, these are the most anticipated anime adaptations from the upcoming Spring 2022 season.

Absent since 2019 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Rising of Shield Hero Season 2 will finally premiere this April. It follows the story of Naofumi, one of four young adults transported to a new land and being selected as a Cardinal Heroe, bestowing the Legendary Shield.
Unlike the other three warriors, which are well-liked, Naofumi is wrongfully accused of sexual assault, thus working in isolation with a ragtag crew of misfits to clean his name.

A personal favourite, Kaguya-sama Season 3, will end up on peoples' lists of "Best Anime of the Year" when December rolls around.

Another heartfelt coming-of-age story, Komi Can't Communicate, was an instant hit with fans as soon as that incredibly catchy opening by Cidergirl played. Hitohito Tadano, a somewhat withdrawn high school student, becomes friends with Shouko Komi, an extremely popular girl dealing with a severe communication disorder.
Thus, Tadano sets on a personal journey to help Komi-san make 100 friends. Netflix picked up international streaming rights outside Japan and will start broadcasting the second season on 27th April 2022.
Spy x Family
- Start date: 9th April 2022
- Where to watch: Crunchyroll
Talk about a show with a premise that could only work in manga and anime; Spy x Family is one of the most anticipated shows in 2022. The main plot revolves around a spy named Twilight that needs to investigate political influencer, Donovan Desmond.
To do so, he builds an entirely new persona with an arranged family. Twilight doesn't know that his "wife" is an assassin and her "daughter" has telepathic abilities.

The final one on this list is yet another slice-of-life, albeit with a bit of a reverse-role theme going on.
