There are a few iconic beasts like the Wampa that can be earned in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, and each one can do some serious damage. To earn that power, most of the time, they need to be taken down in order to unlock them.
The Wampa is a different case though, and you will need to befriend the yeti-like creature to earn it as a character. You'll find him in a sticky situation within one of the rebel bases, and while the quest premise is simple, it requires plenty of character classes.
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga - Unlocking the Wampa
Step one to unlocking the Wampa in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is to head over to Hoth, just like in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. More specifically, the entire quest will take place at the Echo Base location of Hoth.
Once you arrive at Hoth's Echo Base, head to the top right corner of the map to find where the Wampa is hiding. In this location, he'll be locked behind two doors which require two different methods of unlocking.
The first one will need an Astromech droid to simply bypass the door when interacting with the console to the left. Door two will need any character that has the Break Blaser ability, one that is tied to the Scavenger class in The Skywalker Saga.
With the doors open, you can speak to the Wampa who is clearly shaken up. The creature was supposed to attack the base and doesn't want to go through with it, but he needs your help to get out. Players will be tasked with helping the Wampa exit through the long and narrow tunnels in the base as the rebels search for the beast.

From this point, you'll have to follow or get the Wampa to follow you through the base. Rebel waves will continuously appear in search of the beast, and it's your job to stop them from doing any real damage. Each time one of these waves ends, the Wampa will also need encouragement to keep going.
Using a Protocol Droid to communicate with the beast is key when he doesn't want to move. Along with using the droid, using a force-wielding character to stun waves of rebels is the easiest way to get through the mission with no harm.
When you reach the end of the base, the quest ends and the Wampa can be unlocked for 500,000 studs. We'd like to thank JayShockblast for the full quest video!
