How to evolve Psyduck in Pokémon Legends Arceus

Out of the many Pokémon players will see in the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, one of the instantly recognizable mons will be Psyduck. This Water-type duck was first introduced in Generation I, along with its evolution Golduck. While Psyduck didn’t get much attention in the Gen 1 games, it did attract many fans in the Pokémon anime. Psyduck was Misty’s main Pokémon and was seen as a humorous character that fans loved to see on screen.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, fans can catch their own Psyduck. Whether this is because fans want to use the Water-type or just add it to their Pokédex, players will need to catch one at some point. They’ll also need to acquire its evolution, Golduck. The easiest way to do this is to catch a Psyduck and then evolve it into Golduck. Before players do anything, they will need to know where to catch their first Psyduck. Luckily, Psyduck is one of the most common Pokémon players can encounter in the Hisui region. Here are all of the regions and separate areas players can find Psyduck in:

• Crimson Mirelands: Golden Lowlands, Gapejaw Bog, Holm of Trials
• Obsidian Fieldlands: The Heartwood
• Coronet Highlands: Wayward Wood, Lonely Spring
• Cobalt Coastlands: Bathers’ Lagoon

Once players have encountered and caught a Psyduck in one of the first four regions of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they can go about evolving it into Golduck. Players are once again in luck, as Psyduck has a very simple evolution method that doesn’t require any special moves or stones to be used.
