Catching Pokémon is no picnic in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The developers have made the process even more complicated in Hisui, making players look in different regions and using various methods to capture a Pokémon in a Poké Ball. There’s also the added challenge of some Pokémon not appearing in the overworld, forcing players to leave and then return to reset the encounters and try to find the specific Pokémon they’re looking for. One of the tough Pokémon players have attempted to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the Ghost-type Midsreavus.
Misdreavus has given players some problems in Hisui since it’s a Ghost-type, meaning it has a higher chance to flee once players decide they want to catch it. This means that players can’t brute force their way into catching Midsreavus. Instead, they will need to use a sneaky method of catching the Pokémon so they can add it to their Pokédex and advance the story of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Catching Misdreavus in Pokémon Legends Arceus
Players are able to find Misdreavus in one specific region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. That region is Coronet Highlands, and players need to search three specific areas within the region to find Misdreavus. The first region is Celestica Ruins, followed by Stonetooth Rows and then Sacred Plaza.
It’s not recommended to search Stonetooth Rows out of these locations. This area can contain an Alpha Mismagius, Misdreavus’ evolution. If you want to avoid that potential fight, you can search Celestica Ruins or Sacred Plaza.

Midsdreavus tends to be a common encounter in these areas but catching it isn’t nearly as easy as finding it. It will flee if players spend too long exposed, so the best bet is to sneak up behind Misdreavus, potentially distracting it with a berry to speed things along. When the Misdreavus is distracted or looking the other way, players can then throw a ball to attempt to catch it. With enough luck, the Misdreavus will stay in the ball and players can then add it to their Pokédex.
In order to evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius, players will need to find a Dusk Stone and give it to Misdreavus. However, finding the Dusk Stone is a whole other process that will be covered in another guide.
