With the release of Pokémon Unite, a new MOBA based on the Pokémon franchise, many players are wondering which are the best options to power up your pocket monsters as they enter the battlefields throughout Aeos Island.

Here is where the Battle and Held Items come to save the day, as these powerful artifacts brought from games of different Pokémon generations can change the course of any battle, thanks to their stats bonuses and incredible effects that will grant you and your allies more possibilities to fight against the enemy team.

Let’s take a deep look at every Battle and Held Item available in Pokémon Unite.

Pokémon Unite: Battle Items

These are useful items that can give Pokémon a hand in battle in a great variety of ways, such as recovering HP or temporarily boosting their attack damage.

Players can only pick one of these throughout a match, so better think carefully about the one you will choose before queuing up.

At launch, you will only have a few options to choose from, however as you level up your in-game account, your options will increase as well.

Potion - Trainer Lv. 3

Restores some of your Pokemon’s HP, with a cooldown of 30 seconds.

X Attack - Trainer Lv. 7

Raises your Pokemon’s Attack and Sp. Atk for a short time. It has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

X Speed - Trainer Lv. 8

For a short time, increases your Pokemon’s movement speed and prevents their movement speed from being decreased, with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Fluffy Tail - Trainer Lv. 10

Leaves wild Pokemon unable to act for a short time and also increases damage dealt to those Pokémon. It has a cooldown of 25 seconds.

Eject Button - Trainer Lv. 11

Quickly moves your Pokemon in the designated direction. It has a cooldown of 55 seconds.

Slow Smoke - Trainer Lv. 13

Creates a cloud of smoke that greatly decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokemon for a short time, with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Full Heal - Trainer Lv. 14

Removes all status conditions from your Pokemon and makes it immune to hindrances for a short time. It has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Goal-Getter - Trainer Lv. 17

Doubles goal-scoring speed for a short time, with a cooldown of 120 seconds.

Pokémon Unite: Held Items

These are items that Trainers can use to power up their Pokemon’s stats, so having a perfect combination based on the Pokémon you will choose to fight is crucial to complement its unique skills.

Held Items can be unlocked by purchasing them in the game’s own shop, and also can be upgraded to increase the stat bonuses using in-game currency up to level 30.

Players can pick three of these throughout a match, with all of them having a significant impact if used wisely.

Pokémon Unite Held Items 1

Aeos Cookie

When the Pokemon scores a goal, its max HP increases by 100. It also gives a bonus 240 HP.

Assault Vest

When the Pokemon is not in combat, they are granted a shield that nullifies Sp. Attack damage is equal to 9% of their max HP. Comes with a bonus 270 HP and +42 Sp. Def.

Buddy Barrier

When the Pokemon uses its Unite Move, that Pokemon and the nearby ally Pokemon with the lowest HP are each granted a shield equal to 20% of their max HP. It also gives a bonus 600 HP.

Energy Amplifier

After the Pokemon uses its Unite Move, the damage the Pokemon deals is increased by 7% for a short time. Passively, it also increases damage by 7%.

Exp. Share

While the Pokemon has the fewest Exp. Points on its team, it gains 2 Exp. Points per second. However, it will no longer receive shared Exp. Points when its teammates defeat wild Pokemon. Comes with a bonus 240 HP and +150 Movement Speed.

Fierce Attack Dumbbells

When the Pokemon scores a goal, its Attack increases by 6. Adds +18 Attack as well.

Float Stone

Increases movement speed by 10% when the Pokemon is not in combat. Passively, it increases +18 Attack and +120 Movement Speed.

Focus Band

When the Pokemon drops to low HP, each second for three seconds, it recovers 2% of the HP it had lost. Gives a bonus +30 Def and +30 Sp. Def.

Leftovers

When the Pokemon is not in combat, it recovers 1% of its max HP every second. Comes with a bonus 240 HP and +9 HP Recovery.

Muscle Band

When basic attacks hit, the damage is increased by 1% of the opposing Pokemon’s remaining HP. Adds +15 Attack and +7.5% Basic Attack Speed.

Rocky Helmet

When the Pokemon receives a certain amount of damage, damage is dealt to nearby opponents equal to 3% of those Pokemon’s Max HP. Comes with a bonus 240 HP and +42 Defense.

Scope Lens

Increases the damage of basic attack critical hits. The higher the Pokemon’s attack, the more the damage increases. Adds a bonus +6% Critical Hit Rate and +12% Critical-Hit Damage.

Score Shield

While the Pokemon is attempting to score a goal, it is granted a shield equal to 5% of its Max HP and its goals cannot be interrupted while it is shielded. Comes with a bonus 240 HP and +150 Movement Speed.

Shell Bell

When the Pokemon hits with a move, it recovers a minimum of 45 HP. The higher the Pokemon’s Sp. Atk, the more HP it recovers. Passively increases +24 Sp. Atk and decreases Move Cooldown by -4.5%

Sp. Atk Specs

When the Pokemon scores a goal, its Sp. Atk increases by 8. Increases +24 Sp. Atk.

Wise Glasses

Increases Sp. Atk by 3, and comes with a bonus +39 Sp. Atk.
