Bug-type Pokémon are seeing a huge resurgence in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. There are plenty of creepy crawlies for bug catchers to find and train throughout the Paldea region, and unlike in past games, these Bug-type Pokémon are actually good! One of these new Bug-type critters you can add to your party is found as earlier as the first route in the game!
Tarountula is one of the starting route Pokémon alongside others such as Pawmi and Lechonk. Its body appears to be made entirely out of webbing or yarn, aside from a set of legs and a small head poking out. According to its Pokédex entry, this Pokémon's natural enemy is Scyther. While we don't like to condone this bug-on-bug violence, catching and training a Tarountula to take on any enemy in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is highly recommended. This article will cover where you can find Tarountula in the wild and how you can evolve it!
How To Evolve Tarountula In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
Being an early game Pokémon, Tarountula is not that difficult to evolve. Tarountula evolves into Spidops at level 15. This means you will have only a very short time with your Tarountula before it becomes a powerful Spidops.
Both of these Pokémon are pure Bug types, meaning that they do come with a host of weaknesses. Several other Bug-type Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet (such as Nymble and Lokix) have that additional secondary typing that gives them more versatility. Spidops has decent defensive stats and the ability Insomnia, which prevents it from falling asleep in battle. As always, if you plan on taking on any powerful Grass or Dark-type Pokémon, Spidops will be a great addition to your team!
Where To Find Tarountula and Spidops In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
As mentioned, Tarountula can be found almost as soon as you start the game. Checking any early-game routes will likely have you unable to move for Tarountulas! Spidops can also be found in the wild in South Province, West Province, and Tagtree Thicket.
Spidops can be found either alone or with a group of Tarountulas. It can be found during any time of the day, usually around forest areas in Paldea. That's all about Tarountula's and Spidops's evolution.
