In Pokemon Go, Pokemon fans all over the world were introduced to the idea of raid battles. Players can team up with other players to take down a powerful Pokemon that they could catch. Ever since Pokemon Go, Pokemon raids have become a mainstay of the series. It is no different for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Tera raids are the new form of raids for the upcoming Pokemon games. These raids will earn you some Tera Pokemon that you normally would not see out in the wild. If you want something even better, you should consider participating in Black Crystal Tera raids.
What Are Black Crystal Tera Raids In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet?
Normal Tera raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are raids that you do in a party of four. These Tera raids allow players to join together to take down a powerful Tera Pokemon. Tera Pokemon caught from Tera raids usually have Tera Pokemon with an unusual Tera Type. For example, you might encounter a Tera Tyranitar with a Ghost Tera type.
Black Crystal Tera raids are exactly this, but even more rare and special. Black Tera Crystal raids are essentially timed events for the game. You will only be able to catch one type of Tera Pokemon from these events but the Pokemon that you can catch might be a Pokemon that is not even native to the Paldea region.
What Pokemon Can I Get From Black Crystal Tera Raids?
For example, the first Black Crystal Tera raid that you will be able to do is a Charizard with the mightiest mark and with a Dragon Tera type. This Charizard is far more powerful than the normal Tera raids that you will encounter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Charizard is not even normally available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so this is a special event for players who want to get a Charizard on their team. The mightiest mark is a special mark given to your Pokemon. The mark indicates that you have successfully caught the Charizard from a Black Crystal raid, also known as a seven-star Tera raid battle.
How To Join Black Crystal Tera Raids
There are two timeslots to catch this Pokemon from a Black Crystal Raid:
- Thursday, December 1 to Sunday, December 4
- Thursday, December 15 to Sunday, December 18
During these timeslots, Black Crystal Raid Dens will appear on the minimap. Players who are interested in catching the Dragon Tera Charizard should go to these locations to start up the special Black Tera raids.
