One of the biggest questions people will be asked is which starter Pokemon do you want to choose. It is a tough decision because that is a slot taken in your team and choosing the right starter is very important. If you choose the wrong starter Pokemon, you could have a harder time than others.
That is why we are here to help. We have taken a look at the three starter Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet and we know which one is the best starter for you to choose. Here, we will go over the three starter Pokemon and tell you which one is the best one to pick from.
Introducing The Three Starter Pokemon In Scarlet And Violet
The first Pokemon we will talk about is Sprigatito. This is the grass starter Pokemon for the game and it is definitely the fastest Pokemon. In the early game, Sprigatito will hardly get outsped by any Pokemon in the game. This is important to make sure you get the first hit off your opponents. But the problem with Sprigatito comes later when it evolves to a Grass and Dark-type. The final evolution of Sprigatito has so many weaknesses that it becomes hard to manage.
Next up is Fuecoco. Fuecoco is the fire-type starter Pokemon and is the definition of a Tank. Very high defensively and can take a lot of hits. It is slow but it does not matter if the opponents cannot take you down. On top of that, its final evolution is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokemon. This typing is very good against a good chunk of the gyms in Scarlet and Violet, but it will almost always move last in the later stages of the game.
Finally is Quaxly. Quaxly is the water starter Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It has very good attack stats but weak defenses. Quaxly is the glass cannon choice. When it evolves to its final form, it becomes a water and fighting-type Pokemon. Although both are very good offensively, water attacks tend to lean towards the Special Attack stat while fighting attacks are typically physical attacks. So the typing is a bit awkward to deal with.
Who Is The Best Starter In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet?
All of the starter Pokemon are very good and there is a good reason to pick any of them. But there is for sure a difference in difficulty depending on which starter Pokemon you choose.
If you want to know, the best starter Pokemon is Fuecoco. Fuecoco may be the slowest, but its defensive stats are amazing. On top of that, it has an insanely high Special Attack which compliments its typing very well. The typing also gives it a good advantage over a good chunk of the gym leaders in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as well. Definitely choose Fuecoco if you are having trouble deciding which starter Pokemon to go with.
