Jina’s series of quests see you exploring the ruins scattered across Kilima Village and Bahari Bay to pursue knowledge. While much is known about the history of Kilima Village, little is known about the disappearance of humans and magic and the secrecy regarding the Flow.
Following your first quest with Jina, there’s much mystery surrounding a temple inside the ruins at Phoenix Falls, including a peculiar carving on a wall. We’ve uncovered the mystery behind the glowing carving by detailing how to solve it for the Echoes of the Unknown quest in Palia.
How To Solve The Glowing Carving Puzzle In Palia?
The glowing carving puzzle that Jina spoke of can be located during the Echoes of the Unknown quest as you’re tasked with furthering your explorations of the mysterious ruins at Phoenix Falls. As you will need a glider to cross the cavern to reach the temple grounds, you must locate the geyser on the western side and stand atop it to access the main temple doors at the top.
As soon as you’ve reached the top, there’s an Ancient Tome on the steps, which, heading through the doors, will lead you into the main chamber. You’ll be presented with an unresolved puzzle of a fish, and when you find this puzzle, the result will be the same for all.
You'll be using the W, A, S, and D keys or the mouse to move the puzzle pieces around the board, line up the puzzle pattern, and form the picture of the fish. Here’s how to solve the glowing carving puzzle inside the temple exactly:
- Starting from the second bottom row, move the first two pieces to the left
- The following two pieces in the third column from the left move them two places down
- The final piece, the fish’s mouth, moves one space to the left
Once the puzzle has been solved, interact with the puzzle in which a cutscene plays, which triggers activity inside another ruin. This prompts you to inform Jina of this when you meet up with her after solving this puzzle, and you can proceed to investigate this in the next quest, Vault of Waves, where you’ll meet with Jina at Mirror Pond Ruins.
