One of the first quests players will receive upon entering a New World settlement involves placing down a camp.
The camp can be a recall point for players as well as provide a fire for light crafting and a bed for resting. While the camps might not receive a ton of use, some players still want to know how to fully upgrade them. Second and third-tier camps are a bit of an enigma in New World, as most players stick with the basics.
In this article, we’ll show you exactly where you can go to upgrade your camp and reap the rewards that come with it.
Upgrading your camp in New World
No matter what settlement you enter first, you’re going to have to make a camp to advance the main story. Whether it’s Windsward, Monarch’s Bluffs or any other region, the settlement you visit will teach you how to set up a first-tier camp.
After this, if you truly want to keep upgrading your camp, you need to visit Monarch’s Bluffs once you’re level 15. If you’re at the required level, you can speak with Bercina Thornton, who will give you a quest that’s tied to upgrading your camp by one-tier.
This quest is called “Survivalist of Everfall” and obviously takes you to the neighbouring region.
After you’ve completed this quest and upgraded your camp once, you can then speak to Tosch, who’s located in Cutlass Keys. They will teach you how to upgrade your camp to tier three, the current highest level of camping in New World.
The quest outlines everything you need to do and everywhere you need to go. The only thing you need to worry about is having some wood and stone on you, as those are the requirements to actually build the camp once it’s placed.
