After Avengers: Endgame, many people wondered if the Marvel Cinematic Universe had reached its peak. What else could they possibly do to try and top over 10 years of build-up and anticipation for that final showdown against Thanos? Turns out, a lot.
If what we've seen of Phase 4 films and TV shows is any indicator so far, the heads running the MCU won't shy away from trying to expand beyond their comfort zone. Multiverses, time travel, mystical entities that predate the universe itself, we've seen it all.
Now, with the latest Thor adventure nearing movie theatres all around the world, Thor: Love and Thunder, fans are eager to see what the God of Thunder has been up to since we last saw him in Endgame.
Knowing how long is a film gives some fans comfort, as a lengthy runtime usually means the movie will take its time to present proper context, characterisation, and a healthy dose of comedy and action now widely associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But how long is Thor: Love and Thunder exactly?
Thor Love and Thunder runtime
At the time of writing, we don't have any official confirmation regarding Thor: Love and Thunder's runtime. Certain sources available online mention the film could have a runtime of 133 minutes, a standard for most MCU films, which tend to hit the 2-hour mark.
The mentioned runtime has yet to be confirmed by the likes of the British Board for Film Classification or other reputable sources, so in the meantime, take it with a grain of salt.
It's expected that the film easily surpasses two hours in length at the minimum, as it boasts an immense cast that features prominent MCU characters from other franchises, most notably the Guardians of the Galaxy led by Peter Quill, portrayed by Chris Pratt.
Other notable actors that will reprise their roles are of course Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, and a returning Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor after being absent from all-things MCU since Thor: The Dark World in 2013.

Entering the MCU is Christian Bale, who's been cast as the main antagonist of the film, Gorr the God Butcher, and Russell Crowe as Zeus. Sam Neill will also appear as an actor portraying Odin similar to Matt Damon's cameo as a theatre performer dressed as Loki in Thor: Ragnarok.
As you can see, the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder is one of the most star-studded the MCU's ever seen and we're hopeful the film will deliver for hardcore and casual fans alike.
