Lost Ark holds many unique quests for players to complete to gain gear and money. Some of these quests can be more complicated to complete than others and require some back and forth traversal and more NPC interaction.
"A Nose for News" is one such quest in the game, and players can be confused by who they need to speak to and what the requirements are to complete this quest. So today, we have put together this guide on how to complete the "A Nose For News" quest, along with the locations you need to visit and the rewards you can receive.
How to get “A Nose for News” quest in Lost Ark
A Nose For News is a chain quest that is available in the late game, and you will be able to complete it once you hit Level 50. To begin the quest, you need to speak to two NPCs, The Editor-in-Chief Phillan Kaiman and Reporter Mathias.
Both of them can be found in the Origins of Stern headquarters in the Arthetine region. Once you have spoken to them, you will learn of a technologist who is up to no good, and you need to investigate the suspicious case to make some headlines in the news.

She will tell you that some of the measurements in the Nebelhorn Oasis are strangely abnormal and requests that you take new measurements to confirm. This will require you to find three locations in the northern part of Nebelhorn and take new measurements.
Next comes the tricky part of this quest. Head to the northern part of the map, and using the magic flow detector, you will need to scan the bone piles near the Cacti. Scan until a pop-up appears to “Follow the suspicious presence.”
This will lead you to the second pile of bones, where you will need to do the same until you find the “the suspicious presence” that leads you to a nearby waterfall. Once there, scan the waterfall, and the suspicious presence will reveal itself.
As it turns out, the presence was a suspicious Tech Branch Employee. Speak to him and use the Threaten emote to interrogate him. Once you do, he will tell you about his misdeeds, and you can return with the information you need.
Head back to Nebelhorn Lab and speak to Yulia once again. After this, you can speak to the Communicator in the Lab and use it to speak to Mathias. And finally, to complete the quest, head back to the Origins of Stern and speak to Shasha in the northern part of the Town Hall, completing the "Nose for News" quest.
