Halo Infinite's multiplayer has significantly improved since its surprise launch in 2021. 343 Industries has been hard at work, constantly adding new content and overhauling certain attributes courtesy of fan feedback.
Needless to say, the current Season 1 roadmap of Halo Infinite's multiplayer looks promising with two new limited-time events, Cyber Showdown and Tactical Ops, on the horizon, alongside a returning Fracture: Tenrai event.
While these timed events are confirmed to offer exclusive new rewards and game modes for players to try, new maps are not yet confirmed. Thankfully, a new leak has revealed a handful of new maps coming to Halo Infinite.
New maps coming to Halo Infinite
The leak comes from notable Halo Infinite leaker, leaks_infinite, who took to Twitter to post a snapshot of five unreleased upcoming Halo Infinite maps. According to the leak, the maps are called:
- Bath Salts
- Cataract
- Forbidden
- Beltway
- Solitude
While the leaker didn't share any other information, the leaked image is pretty self-explanatory on its own. The maps are currently work-in-progress, and the aforementioned names are placeholder names.
There is a possibility that these names turn out to be the final names of these maps though fans have to wait for an official update from 343 Industries. Until then, the possibility of these new maps coming to Halo Infinite should also be taken with a grain of salt.
Although work-in-progress, the new maps immediately stand out from one another. Bath Salts looks to be in an underground mine, whereas Cataract is clearly in a forerunner facility. The other three maps also stand out though it's early to predict how they would look in their final forms.
Halo Infinite's multiplayer currently offers 10 Arena and BTB maps which are:
- Behemoth
- Recharge
- High Power
- Fragmentation
- Live Fire
- Aquarius
- Streets
- Deadlock
- Launch Site
- Bazaar
Halo Infinite's season 2 kicks off in May of 2022 and will add the highly-anticipated campaign co-op alongside a brand new battle pass. 343 hasn't revealed what else is in store though fans could expect new maps to drop in the next season.
