How To Complete The "Like Tears in the Rain" Achievement in Genshin Impact

The "Like Tears in the Rain" achievement requires the player to find and defeat an impostor, Underwater Survey Mek, mingling with a group of Hunter's Rays. This achievement can only be unlocked in the Fontaine region, which was added in version 4.0 of the game.

Underwater Survey Mek Location

To start, teleport to Thalatta Submarine Canyon underwater waypoint, located south of Fontaine City. Swim a little to the south and look for a group of Hunter's Rays, which are fish-like creatures that swim in circles.

Among the Hunter's Rays, you'll find one Underwater Survey Mek roaming around the group in Thalatta Submarine Canyon.

How To Defeat Underwater Survey Mek

The Underwater Survey Mek is powered by either Pneuma or Ousia and will use different attacks depending on its Arkhe alignment. It's recommended to absorb the Xenochromatic Hunter Ray's ability and use it against the Clockwork Mek, as it can deal significant damage. Once you have successfully defeated the Underwater Survey Mek, you will unlock the "Like Tears in the Rain" achievement and be rewarded with 5x Primogems.
