Genshin Impact's 2.7 update is rumoured to release in May 2022 as the update's beta is currently underway. Beta testers have the opportunity to playtest new game features, including new characters, events and weapons, which will see the rise of potential leaks surfacing online.
One of the recent leaks sees the inclusion of a brand new 4-star weapon, Fading Twilight, that has the potential to boost DMG dealt and comes with an impressive weapon substat. Fading Twilight is poised at being a good alternative for bow-wielding characters that best utilise this substat, including the next playable character, Yelan.
Fading Twilight - New 4 star weapon in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact 2.7 beta is currently underway; however, it didn't slow multiple leaks from circulating online, with one revealing a new weapon arriving in the upcoming patch update. Notable Genshin Impact source, Ubatcha, provided information on the forthcoming weapon in a Twitter thread.
When the character hits an opponent, the buff will change to the next effect type. This can be triggered once every 7s, and can be triggered even if the character is off-field.

According to Ubatcha, Fading Twilight is a 4-star bow, rumoured to be awarded as a free weapon, possibly through an event included in the 2.7 update. Furthermore, the Fading Twilight will boast an Energy Recharge substat, making it an ideal alternative weapon for characters that will benefit from this substat, including Yelan, Fischl, Venti, Ganyu and Gorou.

According to another Genshin Impact source, Honey Hunter, the 4-star bow also has a passive ability, Radiance of the Deep, that possesses three states, Evengleam, Afterglow and Dawnblaze. Accordingly, at 6%, 10%, and 14%, these states will significantly boost the weapon's DMG dealt and will switch states once the attacks hit enemies.
This switching of states occurs automatically every seven seconds; otherwise, Travelers can switch states once the weapon lands its attacks on enemies, as mentioned earlier. Additionally, the weapon's states can still be changed when the character is off-field.
Fading Twilight comes with a base ATK of 44 and the Energy Rechange substat of 6.7%, which increases to 565 ATK and 30.6% Energy Recharge substat when reaching max weapon refinement. Furthermore, when maxed out, the weapon's passive ability will significantly boost the weapon's DMG dealt by 12%, 20% and 28%.
While these stats, passive ability and refinement levels are subjected to change, we advise Travelers to take the information supplied with a grain of salt. With the weapon rumoured to release in the 2.7 update, we'll have to wait from HoYoverse for official confirmation.
