In the Fortnite V20.20 update, the Career Tracker feature was added as a new option for those that spend their time in the Creative Mode. While there were a few anticipated additions to the Creative Mode as a whole in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, the tracker was a subsequent drop that is more of a side to the main course.
That doesn't make the new feature any less exciting, and any competitive players in Fortnite always look forward to seeing their stats in real-time when taking part in a match. With the Career Tracker options, those stats will also carry over in a given mode.
Career Tracker - How the feature works in Fortnite
Like the other new features such as Prop Moving in Fortnite, the Career Tracker is something reserved for the Creative Mode. Rather than being a specific item though, the tracker serves as a new option for existing items in the creative inventory.
One of the focal points for the new tracking system is the Save Point Device that anyone can place on their creative island. Many creative islands or maps likely already have these Save Points installed, but they need to be updated for the new feature to work properly. This includes the scoreboard hud as well.
Cloning and replacing the scoreboard and the Save Points is an easy way to start resetting the older options on the devices. The scoreboard is what will display the stats in real-time for anyone in the game to see, but the Save Point is what does all the tracking.
If you head over to any given Save Point Device, you can interact with it and open up all of the available options. There will be new settings that allow for the Save Point to save everything from player score, total wins, eliminations, and scoreboard stats.

Make sure to have any of these stats set to Yes if you wish to have the scoreboard track and save all data. This is the essence of the tracker and is what separates it from a normal scoreboard for a single match. Now you'll be able to see how well you perform as a whole on another creator's island.
To help with the tracker, there is also a new Career Tab that you can access to see all of your own stats. This will also count towards creatures, so PvP isn't the only stat being tracked within the game.
