How to get Far Cry 3 for free

With Far Cry 6 being just around the corner (the release date has been confirmed - 6th October), it's just the right time to remind ourselves of some classics from the series.

And while all games in the series have their unique qualities, stories and settings, some are simply far more beloved than the others, in many ways thanks to some of the most memorable villains in the history of video games.

And when we speak about villains, there are only a few as iconic as Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3.

The legendary survival shooter, Far Cry 3, will be free over the next few days via Ubisoft Connect, make sure to claim your free copy if you don't already own the game!

How to claim Far Cry 3 for free

Ubisoft has revealed that Far Cry 3 will be completely free to keep over the next few days.

Once you claim your free copy, you will be able to keep it forever on your Ubisoft Connect account.

In order to get the free copy, all you need to do is make sure to have a free Ubisoft Connect account and follow these steps.

1. Head to the Ubisoft Connect page
2. Log in or create an account if you don't have one
3. Open the Far Cry 3 giveaway page
4. Under "Select your gaming platform" click on the "Ubisoft Connect" button
5. And that's it, you have now added the game to your Ubisoft Connect account
6. If you want to play the game, just install the Ubisoft Connect client on your PC, install the game, and start playing it!

Until when is Far Cry 3 free?

Far Cry 3 is free starting today, 7th September, and it will be free until 11th September at 8:30 am (your local time).

Make sure to grab the game before the offer expires! Far Cry 3 is still considered by many to be the best Far Cry game to date and you should definitely try it if you have never played it, if for nothing else, then because of the story and really well-written characters.
