How to find the Valiant Gargoyle boss in Elden Ring?
You will find the Valiant Gargoyle boss deep within Siofra Aqueduct, within Nokron, Eternal City. To unlock the path to Nokron, you have to defeat Starscourage Radahn in Caelid.
Complete this questline relating to the Starscourage Radahan, and if you have triggered it, the Ranni questline will pick up at Nokron, Eternal City. Therefore, it makes tackling this boss much more sense if it hinders your progress in Nokron, so consider it before continuing in this area.
How to beat Valiant Gargoyle in Elden Ring?
This optional boss has similar movesets to the Black Blade Kindred boss in Bestial Sanctum, which you could struggle similarly with the Valiant Gargoyle. With that said, this is still a relatively easy battle though one that requires you to be extremely cautious at all times.
As soon as the battle starts, we recommend keeping a safe distance from the Valiant Gargoyle. Patience is the key in this battle, and ranged players have a significant advantage over melee players.
The boss arena is enormous, so sprint your way out of its radar and deal long-range damage. We used the Rock Sling spell, which did 400-500 damage in a single shot.

You should remember that this battle is when to dodge, as almost every of its attack has the potential to kill you in one shot. The Valiant Gargoyle will switch between a sword and a great axe during the battle.
When doing so, it's important to notice since you get a brief time to make quick successive attacks as long as you keep a safe distance while inflicting these attacks. The Valiant Gargoyle will fly and charge towards you with its great axe now and then.
If you're close by, we recommend dodging it on the left-hand side of its weapon to avoid this devasting attack. It will frequently raise its sword in the sky and slam it down for a devasting wind AoE attack.
Dodge left or right as soon as you notice the attack animation and launch rapid attacks with the Rock Sling Spell will stun it. This should give you a few seconds window to heal, replenish your FP flask, or do critical damage.
A second Valiant Gargoyle will show up in the second half of the battle that does poison damage. You need to keep a safe distance as the poison buildup occurs rather quickly and will knock you out in just a few seconds, which a few Neutralizing Boluses to cure poison buildup.
The second Valiant Gargoyle brings a Twinblade to the battle, capable of conflicting rapid slashing attacks. Keep your distance from its radar and continue to chip away at its health with your spells or other ranged attacks whenever you get an opportunity.
One particular attack from the Twinblade Valiant Gargoyle is when it starts to twirl its Twinblade and launches itself up in the sky to charge toward you. There's a tiny window to dodge this attack, and instead of dodging sideways or sprinting backwards, we recommend that you dash towards it and dodge left.
