Elden Ring features many bosses players will encounter during their quest to restore the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord. After defeating various bosses, a specific item drop called Remembrances allows you to use in exchange for equipment, weapons, and sorceries.
The Remembrance of the Grafted, in particular, is the first Remembrance you'll acquire from one hellacious boss. This guide details everything you need to know about Remembrance of the Grafted, including where to get it and how to use it in Elden Ring.
What is Remembrance of the Grafted in Elden Ring?
The Remembrance of the Grafted is a consumable item that provides players with some benefits once equipped. Soulsborne players will find similarities between Elden Ring's Remembrances and Dark Souls' boss souls.
The Remembrance of the Grafted can be acquired after defeating the first major boss, Godrick the Grafted, at Stormveil Castle. Depending on your character's level in the game's early stages, you could either be strong enough to tackle Godrick or severely under-levelled.

Once you have defeated Godrick the Grafted, Not only will you acquire the item as a reward, but also Godrick's Great Rune and plenty of Runes. The item will automatically be added to your Inventory, located within the Tools tab.
How to use the Remembrance of the Grafted in Elden Ring?
One of the primary uses for the Remembrance of the Grafted item is that you can exchange them for one of two weapons. Travel to the Roundtable Hold following your battle with Godrick the Grafted and locate a room south of the table.
You will find Enia, Finger Reader, who will assist you in drawing the power from the Remembrance. This can only be done once, for which you'll lose its memory after that but duplicating it allows you to obtain the powers from one item.
To duplicate Remembrances, you'll need to locate a Walking Mausoleum, large turtle creatures that wander throughout The Lands Between. Target the stone fragments at its feet to access the structure where you can offer a Remembrance at the alter.
It's worth noting that you must choose which Remembrance you wish to duplicate to obtain the weapons and sorceries they give. Regardless, drawing its power allows you to exchange it for the Axe of Godrick or the Grafted Dragon weapons.
The axe will be familiar to you as it's the weapon Godrick used during the boss battle. The weapon requires 34 Strength and 22 Dexterity to wield and comes with a weapon skill, I Command Thee, Kneel! that creates tremours when slammed into the ground.
The Grafted Dragon is a melee-like weapon that requires 20 Strength, 14 Dexterity, and 16 Faith. It has a weapon skill, Bear Witness, that launches an AoE attack by emitting fire from the dragon's head.
If neither of these weapons best work with your current character build, you can keep the Remembrance and consume it like a Golden Rune, earning 20,000 Runes. Additionally, they can be sold for 20,000 Runes, which you can use to acquire items Enia has available to offer.
