Destiny 2's Season of the Risen and post-The Witch Queen content drops continue. As the focus shifts from welcoming new players that jumped into Bungie's action MMO with the latest expansion, recent updates have been giving veterans a reason to come back to the shooter.
From the reintroduction of Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris for PvP grinders to Grandmaster Nightfalls for PvE centric players, high-end activities are making a return to the looter shooter. Now, it's time for Master difficulty raids to follow suit, with the debut of the Master Vow of the Disciple.
Raids, the six-man pinnacle activity of Destiny 2, are inherently hard by nature, as they require massive amounts of coordination to succeed. However, as players get acquainted with mechanics, the challenge dies down weeks after the release of a new one.
That rings true for the Vow of the Disciple raid that launched as part of The Witch Queen expansion. Of course, completing it in a harder difficulty wouldn't mean anything if there are no rewards deemed worth the trouble.
Vow of the Disciple Adept weapons - How to get
The Master Vow of the Disciple raid offers more modifiers and overall tougher enemies than the regular version of the activity. On top of this, it boasts weekly challenges that players need to complete to get ahold of Adept versions of its loot pool.
In total, there are four weekly challenges in the rotation, these are:
- Swift Destruction
- Base Information
- Defenses Down
- Looping Catalyst
Completing a weekly challenge during your Master Vow of the Disciple run will net you one of the following Adept version raid weapons.
Adept Submission SMG
Adept Insidious Pulse Rifle
Adept Cataclysmic Linear Fusion Rifle
Adept Forbearance Grenade Launcher
Adept Deliverance Fusion Rifle
Adept Lubrae's Ruin Glaive
What are Adept weapons in Destiny 2?
Adept guns are essentially powered-up versions of normal guns available in less punishing activities. They have two important distinctions.
One is that they have higher base stats than non-adept weapons. Even if we take into account Season 16's new crafting system that requires a ton of grinding, which grants stat boosts to fully leveled up guns, Adept tools are still superior.

The other is that Adept weapons have access to Adept mods, adding further enhancement to already stronger guns.
So there you have it, while the grind might be a bit rough at first, the ultimate rewards could make a difference in activities such as GM Nightfalls, Iron Banner, or Trials of Osiris.
