Dead by Daylight's Alien chapter is coming soon, and players are eagerly anticipating the new season's killer, survivor, and map. The chapter's terrifying killer is none other than the iconic Xenomorph, with the survivor's identity and the Alien map still up in the air.
With the recent announcement of the new chapter, fans are wondering if DBD's Alien chapter has a map at all and, if so, what it'll look like. Here's what we know so far about the Dead by Daylight Alien chapter map, based on announcements and the official Year 8 Roadmap.
8 August 2023 - Dead By Daylight's Alien PTB is here, and with it comes the new Nostromo Wreckage Alien map!
Dead By Daylight Alien Chapter Map: Nostromo Wreckage
According to the Year 8 Roadmap, Dead by Daylight Chapter 29: Alien will include a killer (the Xenomorph) and a survivor (maybe Ripley or an original character?). However, what we didn't know was whether it would include a map.
However, developers surprised fans with a new map in the chapter after hinting at one in the first Alien trailer. The map, which is live now on the Alien PTB, is the Nostromo Wreckage. This map allows players to explore the remnants of the wrecked Nostromo ship from the Alien franchise, making it a perfect setting to try out new survivor Ellen Ripley or killer The Xenomorph, and their own unique perks.
How To Enter Nostromo Wreckage Secret Room In DBD
The DBD Nostromo Wreckage map contains numerous easter eggs, including a secret room for players to enter. To get inside, players will need to find a key card on a body on the ground. It will then be in their inventory as a med-kit, but it functions as a key card.
From there, you can then insert the key card in the ship and hack the system, typing in the code (AWSD) on the screen. You'll then be able to enter a secret room containing a chest with a purple item, allowing you a major boost in the trial.
Players can also set a series of traps for the killer to fall into by switching on and off the ventilation system switches around the map. When the killer walks through the ventilation, they'll slow down. Survivors can turn them back on using a lever.
Jonesy The Cat In Dead By Daylight
One more Easter egg available on this map is that players can find Jonesy the cat hiding in one of the lockers around the map - all you'll need to do is open it up.
