Dave the Diver was a breakout game of 2023. It completely flew under the radar before it was released and, out of nowhere, it made a huge impact selling over 1 million copies in just 10 days. The concept is pretty simple, but very satisfying. As you progress through the story, you dive into the ocean and catch fish for the sushi restaurant you manage.
You can catch a lot of different fish to turn them into sushi in Dave the Diver. The more you progress through the story, the larger variety of sushi you can produce. Sometimes, you have to prepare a certain kind of sushi for various events that happen in Dave the Diver. Here, we are going to teach you how to find and catch tuna in Dave the Diver.
How To Find Tuna In Dave The Diver
In Dave the Diver, the number of fish that you can catch increases as you progress in the story of the game. So what you initially see is not everything you will get. Eventually, you will receive an email in-game that talks about an upcoming Tuna Party. When the Tuna Party happens, tuna starts to appear in Dave the Diver.
This is your time to catch tuna. There are two kinds of tuna in Dave the Diver: the Bluefin Tuna and the Yellowfin Tuna. Both are great for creating the best-tasting sushi. Both tuna can be found in The Blue Hole Shallows which range from 0m to 50m in depth. So you won't need to travel far to find tuna.
How To Catch Tuna In Dave The Diver
Now that you have found the tuna in Dave the Diver, the next step is to catch it. One thing that you need to note is that the harpoon gun will not stick to the tuna. It will still do damage but you cannot catch it with the harpoon gun. The best way to catch tuna is using the Steel Sensor Net Trap from Cobra. This trap can catch up to two tuna at a time.
You can also put the tuna to sleep using a hush dart or tranquilizer gun. Either way, you will need an underwater salvage drone to catch a 3-star tuna. Of course, if you have none of these tools you can simply kill the tuna and harvest the meat normally. But you will lose out on meat if you catch tuna in this way.
