It's no coincidence that the AS VAL appears in many Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3 matches, even with the new round of buffs. Despite a handful of assault rifles getting a boost to damage and control, bringing them to the top tier, this Modern Warfare rifle is still highly competitive.
Not many weapons can compare to the sheer time to kill that the AS VAL wields at any given moment. However, a few aspects of the weapon drag it down to the A-tier assault rifle list. Capacity and range are the largest detractors and must be a focal point of the loadout.

One of the primary stat boosts in the full loadout for the AS VAL will be decreased bullet spread across the board. On top of bulking up each shot's accuracy, ammo capacity and range need to be beefed up, or the rifle will fall short at mid ranges against other similar options.
- Barrel: MIP 200mm Mid-Range Barrel
- Laser: OWC Laser - Tactical
- Underbarrel: Strike Foregrip
- Ammunition: Large Extended Mag B
- Rear Grip: Granulated Grip Tape
In previous nerfs of the AS VAL, the Large Extended Mag B took a hit to mobility after the developers felt there was too much speed for the amount of ammunition capacity provided.
However, the meta hasn't changed much for the AS VAL. In particular, there still isn't enough ammo available at a base level, and the Large Extended Mag B attachment is still the best way to build a loadout, regardless of its mobility hits.

As for the accuracy and bullet spread on the weapon, it can be tough to deal with on the base version. The best remedy for that issue is the MIP 200mm Mid-Range Barrel. This barrel is unique because it will only increase damage range and decrease bullet spread by 20%, respectively.
Other attachments such as the OWC Laser Tactical and the Granulated Grip Tape will also decrease the overall bullet spread and, when combined, allows the AS VAL to shoot down range like a laser beam.
Dealing with recoil on the AS VAL in COD Mobile
Recoil is a major negative of the AS VAL, and on this loadout, the only helpful attachment is the Strike Foregrip. Some loadouts remove the grip entirely and opt for an ADS stock instead.
You'll notice that the AS VAL has plenty of recoil to worry about from mid to long-range, and accurate shots can be challenging.
Using the Ranger Foregrip is an option if you believe the recoil feels too overwhelming with the standard loadout, but that's up to personal preference. However, once you learn to control the recoil pattern, this weapon will become an invaluable part of any arsenal.
