After months of leaks and teases, Activision has finally announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the 2023 entry into the Call of Duty franchise. The title will follow on from 2022's Modern Warfare 2, reuniting players once more with Price and co.
The news will be a welcome addition to any Call of Duty fan, as well as those who enjoy Warzone. Like with past installments, Warzone will receive its integration with Modern Warfare 3 once it launches, pushing away from Modern Warfare 2 and into the newer content.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date
Activision took to the official Call of Duty Twitter account to post a short teaser, accompanied by the caption, "The ultimate threat awaits #MW3." In the brief clip, fans can see soe start red and black graphics, with a voice over reading ominous statements, such as "Never bury your enemies alive." At the end of the clip, fans receive a glimpse at the official logo for Modern Warfare 3, as well as a release date: November 10.
The title's logo was previously leaked via supposed promotional packs of Monster Energy. It's unclear exactly where the box for these promotional packs of Monster Energy originated from, but it seems the upcoming deal will feature in-game rewards for the 2023 Call of Duty title, and possibly Warzone. The bonus rewards appear to offer an Operator skin and a Double XP token as part of the deal.
More information on the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 3, including information on gameplay and possible betas, will likely surface as we head closer to the November release date. In the meantime, be sure to check out the teaser below:
