Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Beta Download Size: PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is gearing up to invite players to their first hands-on experience with the upcoming title. The beta will be taking place across two long weekends, across all platforms. However, the first beta will be exclusive to PlayStation owners. There will also be separate dates for those able to join the beta weekend during its early access period, ahead of the open beta. 

If you're hoping to drop into the upcoming beta weekends, either through early access or the open beta, you'll need to pay attention to the following dates:

Weekend 1:

• PlayStation Early Access: October 6 - October 7, at 10 AM PT
• PlayStation Open Beta: October 8 - October 10, at 10 AM PT

Weekend 2:

• All Platforms Early Access: October 12 - October 13, at 10 AM PT
• All Platforms Open Beta: October 14 - October 16, at 10 AM PT

Whether you're hoping to join on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, you'll also need to ensure you've got enough space on your system. Below, we'll go over the download sizes you can expect from the Modern Warfare 3 beta.

Modern Warfare 3 Beta Download Size: PS4, PS5

According to X account @PlayStationSize, the Modern Warfare 3 beta packs will be a roughly 24GB download on PS5. This is broken down into two downloads: 

• Modern Warfare 3 - Beta Pack 01 Download Size (PS5) : 24.813 GB
• Modern Warfare 3 - Beta Pack 02 Download Size (PS5) : 1 MB (license checker)

Players will also need to download Call of Duty HQ, which hits roughly 90GB. So, players will need to ensure they have at least 105GB of free space in order to download MW3 and its beta packs. 

PS4 players can expect the download size on their system to be roughly the same, if slightly larger. 

Modern Warfare 3 Beta Download Size: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Microsoft has yet to reveal the exact download sizes for the Modern Warfare 3 beta, on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. However, players can expect it to be roughly the same size as that on PlayStation — roughly 90GB for Call of Duty HQ, and an additional 25GB for the beta packs. 

Modern Warfare 3 Beta Download Size: PC

As we're still a ways off from the Modern Warfare 3 beta launching on PC, the exact download size for the beta has yet to be revealed. However, as we approach the second beta weekend, more information on the beta's download size will likely be revealed. We'll be sure to update this page as more information arises.
