Baldur's Gate 3 launches in mere days, and with the launch rapidly approaching people are asking a lot of questions. One of those is a question as to whether or not the game will have a single-player campaign.
Will Baldur's Gate 3 have an offline single-player campaign?
Baldur's Gate 3 will have a full single-player offline mode as well as a multiplayer co-op mode, but these two campaigns won't be separated. Basically, the game gives you a party of four members and you play as one of them, specifically the character that you've created. The rest of your party is controlled by the game, but if you play the game online then those characters will be taken over by your friends who have joined the game.
This means that you'll still have your world dynamically affected by your actions and your decisions and that you'll be able to go around the world meeting various different characters without having to worry about your friends potentially messing everything up. Obviously, it remains to be seen how much they do affect everything in the final release of the product, but currently, you can go through the entire game solo.
