Are you looking to craft the Masterwork weapon in Baldur's Gate 3? Technically, it's a rare-tier weapon, which you can eventually find in chests, but early on, it's a decent option for your melee-focused party members.
The Masterwork weapon quest allows you to craft one of the three Masterwork weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. These are Sussur Dagger, Sussur Sickel, and Sussur Greatsword. But there are some things you need before you can craft any one of them. As such, here's our guide, which explains how to craft the Masterwork weapon in Baldur's Gate 3.
How to Craft the Masterwork Weapon in Baldur's Gate 3
To begin the quest to craft the Masterwork weapon in Baldur's Gate 3, you need to find Highcliff's Journal. You can find it next to the fireplace in a rundown house in the Blighted Village. Right underneath the house is the Blacksmith quarter, where you will find Highcliff's blueprints.
You may notice a hole in the floor with webs all over it. You can enter the Blacksmith's quarter from here by destroying the webs with a fire spell, or you can find another entrance from the Whispering Depths dungeon. In the Blacksmith's quarter, you will find Highcliff's blueprint and Infernal Iron.
The next step for crafting the Masterwork weapon is to get a Sussur Bark from the Underdark. The Underdark is a massive place, and it's easy to get lost in there. Most importantly, it's deadly, and you have to overcome plenty of vicious human and non-human enemies to reach the Sussur Tree. You can find the exact location of the Sussur Tree in the Underdark in the screenshot below.
Once you have collected the Sussur Bark from the tree, head back to the Blacksmith's quarter. As mentioned previously, you can either craft a Sussur Dagger, Sussur Sickel, and Sussur Greatsword. To craft one of these Masterwork weapons, activate the Blacksmith's Bellow and insert the Sussur Bark.
Next, you need either a simple Dagger, Sickel, or Greatsword. If you don't have any, we recommend buying them from one of the vendors in the game. Insert the weapon of your choice, and use the bellow to craft the Masterwork weapon.
And that's it! That concludes our guide on how to craft the Masterwork weapon in Baldur's Gate 3.
