With Baldur's Gate 3 encroaching on the personal lives of a lot of people in that it's taking up all of their free time, it's worth noting how big the game is. There are multiple sections to this game, and each section is pretty big, so if you're still on the fence about potentially picking up the game then you should realize what you're getting yourself into by buying the title.
How many acts does Baldur's Gate 3 have?
Baldur's Gate 3 is split into three distinct and separate acts. There's the first act of the game, which was what was available in early access and features you learning how the game works along with discovering some of the more common Dungeons & Dragons species before the game launches you headfirst into an extremely complicated plot involving talking squids and an evil cult.
Act 2 features you traveling through an unknown and mysterious land, discovering new dangers around every corner and attempting to figure out exactly what is happening to this land, while Act 3 has everything coming to a head and will have you finally reaching some semblance of civilization, allowing you to explore the actual city of Baldur's Gate, the titular location.
You can expect to drop at least 70 hours into doing all three acts, and that's if you stick to only doing main quests with some side quests. If you want to do everything, then you could be spending a long while in the world of Faerun.
